A Footballer par excellence, Ryan Giggs continues to play for Manchester United at the age of 39. Born as Ryan Joseph Wilson in the year 1973, he later adopted the maiden name of his mother as his professional last name to be better known as Ryan Joseph Giggs. He made headlines way back in the early nineties as a brilliant left winger who created goal scoring opportunities for his teammates.

A dynamo of energy on field where his agility and strength of movement coupled with brilliant ball possession skills continues to dominate the field to date. At 39 he still plays for Manchester United more because of present form rather than past glories. His cool 4.2 million pounds a year contract makes headlines yet again as this phenomenon continues to peak in performance. He has to his credit the enviable record of having scored in every league season since inception in the 1992 season.

He tied the knot with long time soul mate Stacey Cooke in a very exclusive and private ceremony on the seventh day of September, the year being 2007. Ryan seems to have dropped the anchor, considering that he has two children and lives in the lovely neighborhood of Worsley in Salford Greater Manchester.

His estimated net worth is $56 million. This includes his present contract with Manchester United and his ever so lucrative Reebok endorsement contract. This compounded with a company known as Ryan Gigs Ltd holds promise for his future non playing years.

So how much is fifty six million dollars really?

It could be challenging to elicit what Ryan would splurge on, considering that he is one of the most media averse of all football celebrities known.

Ryan could own one of the most exclusive of islands in the world in Spain – Isla de sa Ferradura. This would cost him a cool $ 39.7 million dollars which would come replete with a home theater to watch his past matches.  Although expensive, this is clearly a better deal than 14 million mochachinos from Starbucks, which would contain 3 920 000 000 calories.  Yup.  That is 4 billion calories (that is 4500 years worth on a normal diet).  It is also more practical than 11 million Subway Footlong sandwiches – given that they would stretch from New York to Grand Canyon.

Transplanting the Wembley stadium at 800 million pounds may be beyond his reach; however he could always substitute that with a 400 pounds worth of the most expensive footballs shoes in the world while he practices on his 14 acre island.
