Name: Wesley Louden Borland
Born: February 7, 1975
Occupation: Musician, singer-songwriter, artist and producer
Wes Borland was born on February 7, 1975 in Richmond, Virginia. He is the son of Tom and Sally Borland and has one brother: Scott. He spent most of his childhood in Nashville, Tennessee, but his family would later move to Jacksonville, Florida. Wes grew up in a Presbyterian household. He would move out on his own at 18 because he wasn’t exactly jubilant about organized religion.
Wes attended the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, where he began to learn about special effects and sculpture making. At the same time, he continued with his guitar studies, something he picked up in Nashville.
Wes has been married twice before. His first wife was Heather McMillen, which lasted from 1998 to 2001. His second wife was Anna Borland, which lasted from 2009 to 2013. He is presently dating singer Carre Kwong Callaway. Wes recently moved from Los Angeles, California to Detroit, Michigan.
In 1994, Wes launched his music career by joining the popular underground band Limp Bizkit, which was comprised at the time of Fred Durst, Sam Rivers and John Otto. After a brief dispute and exit, Wes returned to the band and recorded their debut “Three Dollar Bill, Yall.” The most popular song from that album was “Faith.” Soon after, Limp Bizkit recorded “Significant Other” and then “Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water.” Both albums experienced immense commercial success. Wes is primarily remembered for not only his incredible guitar skills, but for also wearing costumes or body paint throughout performances.
In 2002, Wes would once again leave the band in order to work on various side projects. He would return yet again to Limp Bizkit, but then left the band. Wes would form Black Lights Burn and also worked with Marilyn Manson. In 2009, Wes and Limp Bizkit reunited and recorded an album, which didn’t garner much success. Since then, however, Wes has gone on to a remixing career and still releasing singles.
It was announced in July 2016 that Wes would have his own home renovation show called “Sight Unseen.” Premiering on the DIY Network, Wes and his girlfriend, Carre, fix up a 6,500-square-foot mansion in Detroit that they purchased without ever seeing it. Wes has also adopted dozens of stray cats in Detroit.
We estimate that Wes Borland’s net worth is $5 million (2015).
So how much is $5 million really?
$5 million can buy you several homes in Detroit, which can be used to house stray cats and dogs. $5 million can also help buy you all of Limp Bizkit’s songs and albums.
