Name: Frauke Marquardt
Born: June 1, 1975
Occupation: Entrepreneur, scientist and politician
Frauke Petry was born on June 1, 1975 in Dresden, East Germany. At 14 years of age, her family relocated to Schwarzheide in Brandenburg, which is close to Saxony. She is the daughter of Renate Marquardt.
In 1998, Frauke attended the University of Reading and earned a degree in chemistry. In 2004, Frauke attended the University of Gottingen and earned a doctoral degree.
Frauke was previously married to Sven Petry, a Lutheran pastor. Soon after their relationship, Frauke entered into a relationship with Marcus Pretzell, a German politician and Member of the European Parliament (MEP). Frauke has four children and presently resides in Saxony.
In 2007, Frauke launched her own business in Leipzig called PURinvent. It is a manufacturing firm that creates polyurethane tire fill products. The company was so successful that she was the recipient of the Medal of the Order of Merit in 2012.
Despite her success in business, Frauke entered the world of politics. She joined the Alternative für Deutschland (AFD) and soon became the leader in July 2015. The political group is described as being far-right, but Frauke has said that the majority of the party favors a liberal-conservative policy. Some of the issues that have dominated AfD policy in recent months include heightening border control, opposing mandatory quotas, limiting international migration and minimizing Islamic influence on German culture.
Under Frauke’s leadership, the AfD has garnered a tremendous amount of support. The AfD has been riding on the tidal wave of momentum thanks to the Brexit and Donald Trump victories. Despite the AfD’s growing popularity, Frauke and her party have been described as racist – Frauke herself has been portrayed as “Adolfina” by the mainstream media.
Outside of politics and science, Frauke is religious. She is a member of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Saxony, a member church of the Evangelical Church in Germany, and has pledged to defend the European Christian values of the West as AfD leader.
We estimate that Frauke Petry’s net worth is $500,000 (2016).
So how much is $500,000 really?
$500,000 can help you launch a political party in Germany. $500,000 can also help pay for a campaign to take down German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
