Allison Williams was born on April 13, 1988 in New Canaan, Connecticut. She is the daughter of Jane Gillan Stoddard, television producer, and Brian Williams, NBC anchor and managing editor.
Allison attended Yale University and graduated in 2010. During her time at the prestigious university, Allison was a member of Just Add Water, an improv comedy troupe, and a couple of other comedy organizations.
She is presently involved with Ricky Van Veen, entrepreneur and the co-founder of College Humor. They became engaged in 2014 and were later married in 2015 at a private ceremony, which included Tom Hanks, Lena Dunham, Katy Perry and Seth Myers.
Because of her rendition of “Nature Boy,” which was mixed with “A Beautiful Mine,” for the smash hit television series “Mad Men,” filmmaker Judd Apatow was convinced that she should be a part of the popular HBO series “Girls.” In 2016, she was nominated for a Critics’ Choice Television Award for her supporting role in “Girls.”

Since then, Allison has had an eclectic career. When it comes to Internet programming, she writes various sketches for “Funny or Die” and has regularly appeared on College Humor’s “Jake and Amir.” Allison is also an avid participant on stage as she starred in NBC’s live television musical “Peter Pan Live” as the title character.
