Austin started to train for professional wrestling in the year 2000. He worked with trainer Eddie Sharkey and Terry Fox. He would make his in-ring debut after just a few months of learning the craft, competing against “Sheriff” Johnny Emerald. Austin would compete throughout the midwest and east coast before working for more successful promotions.

He is presently engaged to Thea Trinidad, a professional wrestler, model and actress. Austin currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

Between 2004 and 2015, Austin would primarily compete for Ring of Honor (ROH) and Total Nonstop Action (TNA), which is now Impact Wrestling. He also had a brief one-year stint with Dragon Gate USA. During his tenure at ROH and TNA, Austin would win all of the major titles, including the World Championships.

In 2016, Austin would sign a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He immediately competed with NXT and would soon compete for the NXT Championships. In October, Austin suffered a large orbital socket injury, which nearly left him blind in one eye. It was reported that he had permanent titanium plates.

During the recovery process, Austin was sent to the commentary booth to provide his voice for the cruiserweight division on Monday Night Raw and 205 Live. Austin would finally make his main roster in-ring debut in March 2017. He competed at WrestleMania XXXIII against Cruiserweight Champion Neville, but lost.

Outside of pro-wrestling, Austin is an advocate for veganism. He has been a vegan since 2011 and has taken part in various People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) videos that promote the lifestyle.

We estimate that Austin Aries’s net worth is $2.9 million (2017).

So how much is $2.9 million really?

$2.9 million can help pay for the elaborate WrestleMania XXXIII set. $2.9 million can also fund several PETA campaigns all over the globe, promoting veganism or animal rights.
