Cory Booker was born in Washington, D.C. on April 27, 1969. He is the son of Cary Alfred Booker, an IBM executive, and Carolyn Rose. He has one sibling: Cary.

Cory attended Northern Valley Regional High School, where he was a successful varsity football player. In 1991, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Stanford University. A year later, he garnered a Master of Arts in sociology. Due to his impeccable academic performance, Cory studied at the University of Oxford under a Rhodes Scholarship and received an honors degree in United States history. He also got his J.D. in 1997 from Yale Law School.

He has never been married, though he has expressed his desire to settle down. Cory has been in relationships with Gayle King, Arianna Huffington and Veronica Webb.

Following his extensive academic career, Cory co-founded the Chai Society and provided free legal advice for low-income residents in New Haven, Connecticut. Prior to entering politics, Cory worked as a staff attorney at the Urban Justice Center in New York and program coordinator of the Newark Youth Project.

In 1998, Cory entered politics, and immediately defeated a court-term incumbent Newark City Council member George Branch. Four years later, Cory sought to oust Newark Mayor Sharpe James, but ultimately failed with 47 percent of the vote due to the incumbent’s mudslinging and vicious attacks. Cory was accused of being “a Republican who took money from the KKK [and] Taliban … [who’s] collaborating with the Jews to take over Newark.” He tried one more time in 2006, and was victorious with 72 percent of the vote. He would be re-elected in 2010 with 59 percent of the vote.

Cory announced that he would run for the U.S. Senate in the 2014 election to succeed Frank Lautenberg. Cory won in the 2013 special election after Lautenberg’s death, beating his Republican rival, Steven Lonegan, with 55 percent of the vote. A year later, Cory defeated Republican nominee Jeff Bell, 56 percent to 42 percent.

During the 2016 presidential election, many reports stated that Cory was going to be Hillary Clinton’s running mate. It has also been suggested by the media that Cory will run for the Democratic Party’s nomination in the 2020 election. This has been shot down by Cory several times.

Described as a moderate liberal and a bipartisan politician, he has received a ton of criticism from the left. Salon, for example, labeled Cory as a “camera hog” and a member of the “wealthy elite.” He was also hammered by the left in 2012 when he defended private equity against President Barack Obama.

Some of his positions include supporting abortion rights, ending the war on drugs, lowering budget deficits, implementing a cap and trade tax system, increasing education funding, opposing Middle Eastern intervention and favoring a two-state solution in the Israel-Palestine conflict.

Outside of politics, Cory is an enthusiastic vegetarian/vegan, animal rights advocate and abstains from alcohol. Cory’s two favorite things in life are books and coffee.

We estimate that Corey Booker’s net worth is $2 million (2017).

So how much is $2 million really?

$2 million can buy you an entire library of books in Cory Booker’s home. $2 million can also purchase you a lifetime’s supply of Starbucks coffee to spend late nights reading those same books.
