Name: Ricky Dene Gervais
Born: 25th June 1961
Occupation: Actor, comedian, filmmaker and writer
Ricky Gervais is an actor, comedian, filmmaker and writer of British origin. Born to English parents and went to University College of London in the year 1979. Having performed on diverse platforms ranging from singing to writing, he finally found his mettle on television and big screen. Amongst others, he has to his credit the privilege of being the first host of the Golden Globes. A television personality par excellence, he has a cult following of his own which may be attributable to his now familiar shows ‘The Office’ and ‘Extras’.
The estimated net worth for Ricky Gervais is indeed impressive, standing at $80 million!
If that is impressive, there is more to come. The worth is an estimation pre Golden Globe Hosting so a conservative add up would be a couple of millions more and the numbers will continue to grow.
If statistics are any index, then he is inarguably the richest comedian in the world to date, although Ricky has another take to it.
So how much is 80 million dollars really?
With a worth of that magnitude he can aspire to take over Libya and buy millions of scratch cards although not necessarily in that order. The scratch card ‘aspiration’ needs some quantification. If Ricky bought $ 80 million worth of scratch card he would have to scrape cards for about 13 years (working non stop without sleep or toilet breaks) – and at the end be left with $ 43 million in prices. Not the best hobby in the world.
Big Splash, a 1.5 million dollar Tibetan mastiff which stands whopping three foot tall in his majestic fluffy glory, might be a better investment. Mr Lu Tibetan Mastiff Garden in Laoshan, China, told newspapers he estimates that the buyer could recoup his investment in the dog in just a few years by hiring it out to other breeders for as much as 100,000 yuan ($16 000) each.
And while he walks, Jane Fallon, his current girl friend, could accompany him in Rita Hayworth heels by Stuart Weitzman – a steal at $ 3 million. And when finally at home, perhaps in a newly acquired Updown Court in Windlesham (available at a very modest $ 75 million) – preparing for a relaxing evening, he could surprise her with some more informal Harry Winston’s Slippers available in a shop far away from you at a mere $ 2 million. Ricky Gervas will just have to work a wee bit harder to keep up!
