Name: Tula “Tulisa” Paulinea Contostavlos
Born: 13 July 1988
Occupation: Singer, Songwriter, Model, X Factor judge, Actress
Tulisa was born to Anne Byrne, a member of the band Jeep, and Steve Contostavlos, a member of Mungo Jerry. She grew up in Camden Town, North London and was separated from her mother when she was only five years old. Her mother had been diagnosed with multiple mental illnesses and was committed to a mental institution. Her father then left when she was only 14. Due to her unpredictable upbringing she suffered depression, drug and alcohol abuse, and anorexia. Her uncle came to her rescue and supported her, getting her on the right track.
At the same time Fazer and Dappy, a cousin of Tulisa, had decided on getting a female into their group and invited Tulisa to join them. They went through several name changes, but decided on N-Dubz. They started to become popular on pirate radio and eventually went mainstream. Their first appearance on the charts came in 2007 with Feva Las Vegas, and peaked on the UK charts at Number 57. They quickly switched labels and wound up on All Around the World Records, but finally ended up with Def Jam. Things didn’t go as planned with Def Jam and the group began to go their own way.
Tulisa started working on a solo album and also became a judge on the eighth season of The X Factor. In addition to her musical career, Tulisa has appeared on the television series Dubplate Drama and in the film Demons Never Die. We estimate Tulisa’s net worth at $3,500,000 (GBP 1,596,600).
So how much is $3.5 million dollars really?
We know Tulisa likes her sunglasses, so we’re thinking she could buy some Ultra Goliath 2 Diamond Edition sunglasses for a mere $25,000. For the money in her bank, she could buy 140 pairs of them. But maybe someone of her stardom would like something a little more unique. She could pick up a few pairs of Dolce & Gabanna DG2027B for only $383,609. But if you’re jealous of her wealth, just remember, even she could only own nine pairs of them. You can probably go out and buy nine pairs of sunglasses yourself.
