Name: Nicole Prescovia Elikolani Valiente Scherzinger
Born: 29 June 1978
Occupation: Singer, Songwriter, Dancer, Model, Television personality, Producer
Nicole Sherzinger was born in Hawaii to Rosemary Elikolani, and Alfonso Valiente. Her parents broke up when she was just a baby and her mother remarried Gary Scherzinger who adopted Nicole. They later moved to Kentucky where she was raised. She attended a performing arts high school and also performed with the Actors Theatre of Louisville. She later attended college at Wright State University where she majored in musical theatre and acting. She quit school to pursue singing and bounced around until she wound up with Eden’s Crush who would tour with ‘N Sync (Justin Timberlake)and also Jessica Simpson. She was approached by Will.i.am to become a singer with The Black Eyed Peas, but due to a contract with Eden’s Crush she was unable to accept.
In 2003 she joined the Pussycat Dolls as their lead singer. In 2005 PCD was released and sold nine million copies worldwide. Scherzinger then sang with a number of popular artists at the time and the band released the hit When I Grow Up. Several more hits came, but Scherzinger decided to leave the band in 2010. An attempt at a solo career never came to fruition in the US, and she turned to television’s Dancing with the Stars, and took first place with her partner Derek Hough. She was also a guest judge on the UK show The X Factor. Her first solo album was released in the UK but has yet to hit shelves in the US. She was also a judge on the US version of The X Factor, but after one year the public didn’t seem to trust her judgement and there was much backlash for her decisions.
Scherzinger’s second album will have a global release in 2013, but up to now we estimate Nicole Scherzinger’s net worth at $8,000,000 (GBP 5,108,336).
So how much is $8 million dollars really?
Nicole has been quoted as saying she knew she wanted to sing when she first heard Whitney Houston, the first album by the singer of the same name. If Nicole wanted to inspire others, she could use her $8 million to purchase 571,837 of that album and share the inspiration. But maybe Nicole would like to do something a little more fun with that money of hers, like fly back to Hawaii to see her relatives and relax on the beach. With $8 million she could fly round trip from Los Angeles to Hawaii 15,920 times. Talk about relaxation.
