Name: Andrew James Clutterbuck (aka Andrew Lincoln)
Born: 14 September 1973
Born in London, England, Andrew James Clutterbuck is the son of a nurse and a civil engineer. He didn’t change his surname to Lincoln until he began attending the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, or RADA. His most prominent appearances were as Edgar Cook in The Life, as Simon Casey in Teachers and as Robert Bridge in Afterlife. He has also appeared in a few major movies, including Love Actually and Human Traffic.
Lincoln has appeared in a number of on-screen and stage productions. He was cast in 2010 to star as Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead, an adaptation of the comic by the same name. For this role, he has had to put aside his English accent and adopt a Southern USA accent.
Lincoln married Gael Anderson in June of 2006 and they have two children together. Andrew Lincoln currently earns approximately $70,000 per episode of The Walking Dead and is estimated to have a net worth of $3 million.
How much is $3 million, anyway?
Gael Anderson, Lincoln’s wife, is the daughter of Ian Anderson, who you might recognize as one of the leaders of the band Jethro Tull. If he really wanted to suck up to his father in law, Lincoln could use that money to create a complete collection of the 21 different albums the band has produced. If you average the cost of each at approximately $20, he could bring complete collections into the lives of at least 7,142 people.
