Born in Columbus, Ohio, Josh Radnor is one of three children. His mother was a high school counselor and his father was a lawyer. After graduating high school, Josh went on to Kenyon College where he graduated with a BA in Drama after receiving the school’s Paul Newman Award. He then went on to New York University’s Gradudate Acting Program where he continued to work towards his Master of Fine Arts.
His real acting career didn’t start until 2001, when he was cast in the series Off Centre for The WB. He made his Bruadway debut in 2002 and then, in 2005, landed one of the leading roles in How I Met Your Mother, a comedic sitcom still running today. It is, by far, his biggest role, earning him approximately $225,000 per episode. He has made a few film, theater, and television appearances since then, but primarily focuses on How I Met Your Mother.
