Name: Vanessa Anne Hudgens
Born: December 14, 1988
Occupation: Actor, Singer
Vanessa Hudgens began her acting and singing careers at the young age of eight. She performed in a variety of local, musical theatre productions including Carousel, The Wizard of Oz, The King and I, Cinderella and The Music man, among others. Her family moved to Los Angeles after she started auditioning for commercials and TV shows and finally landed one. She appeared in a variety of television shows including Still Standing, Robbery Homicide Division, The Brothers Garcia, Drake and Josh, Robot Chicken, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Punk’d. Vanessa’s income from these small parts was minimal however; she made up for the low pay with her film career.
Hudgens has had roles in many films but is most well known for her portrayal of Gabriella Montez in High School Musical, High School Musical 2 and High School Musical 3: The Senior Year. She also appeared in Thirteen, Thunderbirds, Beastly, Sucker Punch, Journey 2: Mysterious Island, Spring Breakers and The Frozen Ground. It’s safe to say that most of her money came from Disney’s High School Musical movies. Her love of theatre allowed her to nab the role of Mimi Marquez in Rent which was presented at the Hollywood Bowl in 2010. It is estimated that Vanessa Hudgens has the net worth of about 5 Million dollars.
So, how much is 5 Million dollars really?
To most people, 5 Million dollars is unfathomable. Think about it this way. There are 1,540,385 homeless dogs living in shelters in New York. Since the average shelter dog weighs about 70 pounds, it would take 5 full pounds of dog food to feed one of these homeless pets each week. One bag of Purina Dog Chow is 32 pounds and costs $19.99. Vanessa could afford to buy 8,004,000 pounds of food. This would take care of the nutritional needs that each of the 1,546,385 canines in require. This could have a severe impact on the 4,824 dogs that are euthanized every year in New York City.
