Rob attended Fairmont High School and dropped out in his senior year to pursue a career in skateboarding. Despite his parents’ desire for Rob to go to college and become an accountant, he does not have any formal entrepreneurial schooling.
He dated actress Erika Schaefer in 2010. The Ohio native started seeing Bryiana Noelle Flores, a model and clothing designer, in 2013. Rob proposed to her in April 2015 at Disneyland and they were married shortly after in September 2015.
Rob began his skating career at the age of 11. Skateboarding was the only thing he ever thought about since the very first time he stood on a board. At just 12 years of age, Rob acquired sponsorship from a company, but later quit the board sponsor and started his own Alien Workshop, the current deck sponsor and a company he now owns. When he left high school to move to Southern California, he skated for Droors Clothing, which is now DC Shoes. Rob then had an array of sponsors: DC Shoes, Alien Workshop, Monster Energy and Silver Trucks.
In 2006, Rob starred in his first reality television series called “Rob and Big.” Three years later, Rob starred in “Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory,” which featured a renovated warehouse that comprised of his office, a skate plaza and a foam pit. Due to the success of this show, Rob created “Ridiculousness,” a show highlighting his comments about extreme sport mishaps in Internet videos. He also created a film called “Street Dreams” in 2009.
Rob has made appearances in shows like “Jackass” and “Punk’d.” He was also featured in “skate.” and “Skate 2,” two popular video games.
Although he has been successful in skateboarding and multimedia, Rob has found immense success in the entrepreneurial realm. Rob has ventured into branding partnerships, such as having his own TAG Body Spray Scent and partnering with Chevrolet. He also has produced toys based on him and skateboarding friends and created the iSX (Instant Scoring Experience).
