Demi Lovato started her acting career at a very young age. The first true television role that Demi landed was playing Angela on the highly popular and often addictive children’s TV program called Barney and Friends. She appeared for two complete seasons starring opposite the giant purple dinosaur and with her good friend, Selena Gomez. Demi also appeared on many shows including Split Ends, Just Jordan, Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream, Extreme Makeovers: Home edition, Gray’s Anatomy, America’s Next Top Model, Keeping Up with the Kardashians and the X Factor, USA. From 2009 through 2011, Lovato starred in the Disney Channel’s Sonny with a Chance and played Allison “Sonny” Munroe. She was paid 12 thousand dollars per episode for her portrayal of Sonny.
Lovato also appeared in movies such as Camp Rock, Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience, Princess Protection Program and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. Demi has a great love for music and released her first album on September 23, 2008. It was entitled Don’t Forget. Two additional albums have been released since; Here We Go Again and Unbroken. A new album is set for release at the end of the year. Lovato also toured for each album which brought in a considerable amount of income. Demi is set to be a celebrity judge for this coming season’s The X Factor. Lovato is said to have a net worth around 3 Million dollars at this time but will surely increase with her new album, concerts and contract with The X Factor.
So, how much is 3 Million dollars really?
If Demi Lovato wanted to spend every penny that she has, she could buy a lot of talking Barney the Dinosaur stuffed animals. Considering that they cost about 46.99 each, Demi could purchase 63,000 of these lovable dolls. That is enough Barney dolls to distribute to each and every child in California’s foster care system, including the 12,150 kids who are patiently waiting to find families to adopt them. Now that would be an impressive way to spend all of her wealth!
