Name: Randall Keith “Randy” Orton
Born: April 1, 1980
Occupation: Professional wrestler, actor
Randy Orton was born April 1, 1980 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He is the son of legendary professional wrestler Bob Orton Jr. and the grandson of another wrestling icon Bob Orton Sr. He has two siblings, Nate and Rebecca, and an adopted brother, Roderick.
Raised in St. Charles, Missouri, he attended the Hazelwood Central High School, where he also performed in amateur wrestling. Shortly after graduating high school, Randy enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he was given a bad conduct discharge just one year later for deserting and disobeying orders. He was tried, convicted and sentenced to 38 days in a military prison.
He became engaged to Samantha Speno in November 2005 and married two years later. They had their first child, Alanna Marie Orton. The couple divorced in the summer of 2013. Two years later, Orton confirmed his engagement to Kimberly Kessler, and were married in November 2015.
Although his father discouraged him from entering the pro wrestling industry because of the extensive travels, Randy entered the business anyway. He wrestled and trained at the Mid-Missouri Wrestling Association-Southern Illinois Conference Wrestling (MMWA-SICW). He wrestled there for only a month. He later refereed a couple of matches at the World Organized Wrestling promotion.
Following his brief stint in the independent scene, Randy signed a deal with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and was sent to its then developmental program, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). He was fast tracked to the main roster a little over a year later and made his debut on WWE television. Randy joined a faction called Evolution, which comprised of Triple H, Ric Flair and Batista. The group was a main facet of television for more than a year.
Since then, he has accomplished a lot in WWE, including main eventing a handful of WrestleManias, winning the world title 13 times, launching his own faction called Legacy and joining The Authority.
Randy has also had a role in three motion pictures: “That’s What I Am,” “12 Rounds 2: Reloaded” and “The Condemned 2: The Prey.”
We estimate that Randy Orton’s net worth is $9 million (2016).
So how much is $9 million really?
$9 million is more than the estimated net worth of such SuperStars as Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens. However, it’s far less than the likes of John Cena, Triple H or the boss Vincent Kennedy McMahon.
You may not win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but $9 million can buy you more than 20,000 championship replica belts from WWE. $9 million can also buy you about 400,000 Randy Orton t-shirts (if you’re that big of a fan of the future Hall of Famer).
