Name: Jill Kamen
Born: November 30, 1963
Occupation: Television personality, entrepreneur and marketer
Jill Zarin was born on November 30, 1963 in Woodmere, New York. She is the daughter of Gloria Kamen.
She attended Lawrence High School, and after graduation she attended Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts.
Jill has been married three times. She is currently married to real estate developer Bobby Zarin. They have two children named Jonathan (stepson) and Allyson, who suffers from arthritis.
In addition to her reality television fame, Jill has earned her wealth by fulfilling numerous roles. She has worked as a part-time real estate agent; a marketer for her husband’s business, Zarin Fabric Warehouse and Home Furnishings; co-author of the bestselling book “Secrets of a Jewish Mother”; and owner of body shapewear brand “Skweez Couture by Jill Zarin.”
Jill was in the very first season of “The Real Housewives of New York,” and lasted until the fourth season. The network announced that half of the original cast – Jill, Alex McCord, Cindy Barshop and Kelly Bensimon – would not be appearing as of the fifth season. One of the biggest controversies on the show was when Jill confirmed that her husband had a cancer scare, and she did not receive any support from her friends, including Bethenny Frankel.
She has been lauded for being one of the best multi-taskers in the RHONY show. In addition to her various responsibilities, Jill also attends an array of social events across the New York metropolitan area. One of the aspects that she has been celebrated for has been her participation in Creaky Joints, a foundation meant to raise awareness for arthritis.
Over the years, she has branched out into other forms of media. Since the RHONY fame, Jill has appeared in “The Bonnie Hunt Show,” “White Collar,” “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” and “The Spin Crowd.” Also, before it shut down in 2012, Jill was the brand representative for camera maker Kodak.
We estimate that Jill Zarin’s net worth is $35 million (2016).
So how much is $35 million really?
Jill is worth more than most of her RHONY counterparts, including Bethenny ($25 million), Dorinda Medley ($20 million) and Ramona Singer ($18 million).
During an episode of the reality TV series, Jill was told to “get a hobby” by her friend-turned-foe Bethenny. Since she may not have any hobbies, $35 million can buy 500,000 copies of the first season of RHONY. Or, if you prefer to challenge your mind, $35 million can buy you 30 million copies of “Secrets of a Jewish Mother” in brand new paperback form.
