In 1998, Shane would help establish the wrestling empire’s digital media division and launch WWE.com. During this time in WWE, Shane also portrayed an on-screen character and had multiple four- and five-star matches, despite not having much of a wrestling background. Many of his matches have been critically acclaimed and remembered to this date. He is also a former WWE European Champion and Hardcore Champion. In his WWE career, he has feuded with his own family, Steve Blackman, Kane, Test, The Rock, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, D-Generation X and many others.

Shane would return to the WWE in February 2016 after seven years. It was announced he would face The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXXII in a Hell in a Cell match for control of WWE’s flagship program Monday Night Raw. It’s reported that Shane is being paid $120,000 for his services (2016). It’s unclear as to how long he will be with the industry titan.
