Name: Joshua Daniel Flagg
Born: August 20, 1985
Occupation: Real estate broker and television personality
Josh Flagg was born in Los Angeles, California on August 20, 1985. He is the son of Michael and Cindy Flagg. Josh comes from a long line of successful business-minded people: Josh is the grandson of electronics industry executive Hermann Platt; the great-grandson of Benjamin Platt, who was the founder and owner of Platt Music Corporation; and the grandson of fashion industry executive Edith Flagg.
Josh attended the private school, Brentwood School. He would later attend the Beverly Hills High School. Just before his graduation, Josh registered to become a real estate agent at just the age of 18.
Coming out as gay in early 2011, Josh has been dating interior designer Colton Thorn since 2008. Josh presently lives in Los Angeles, California and owns a penthouse in Century City.
His career started in his teen years when he entered the real estate industry. Josh experienced instant success when he began to record several residential sales in affluent areas, like Beverly Hills and the Sunset Strip. He worked under real estate broker Bruce Nelson with the John Bruce Nelson firm. Josh would later work at Coldwell Banker in its east office in Beverly Hills.
In a little more than a decade, Josh has sold approximately $1 billion worth of property. Some of these headline-grabbing properties consist of Merv Griffin’s Bel Air estate and Dorothy Chandler’s Hancock Park estate. Josh has acquired a few properties of his own, worth tens of millions of dollars.
Due to his overwhelming success in the real estate industry, the television network Bravo hired Josh in 2006 – as well as Chad Rogers and Madison Hildebrand – to star in the reality television series “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles.”
He has also made several other media appearances, including NBC’s “Today Show,” “ABC’s Good Morning America” and Bravo’s “Watch What Happens: Live.”
Outside of television, Josh has authored two books: “A Simple Girl: Stories My Grandmother Told Me” and “Million Dollar Agent: Brokering the Dream.” He also launched a mobile application in 2012 called Star Maps, which is a directory that lists hundreds of properties that have some sort of a relationship with celebrities in LA.
We estimate that Josh Flagg’s net worth is $8 million (2015).
So how much is $8 million really?
$8 million could buy you one of his featured real estate listings, including a $3.2 million Los Angeles house and a $3.5 million Beverly Hills (90210) house (why not buy both?). $8 million could also buy you a home that once was owned by any celebrity – you just have to ask Josh.
