Stephanie McMahon was born on September 24, 1976 in Williamstown, New Jersey. She is the daughter of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) executives, Vince and Linda McMahon. She has one brother, Shane.
Soon after her birth, the McMahon family relocated to Greenwich, Connecticut. There, she attended the Greenwich Country Day School and Greenwich High School. After graduation, Stephanie attended Boston University and earned a degree in Communications.
Stephanie would enter into a romantic relationship with professional wrestler Andrew “Test” Martin. Soon after, however, she would become involved with professional wrestler Paul “Triple H” Levesque. They would get married in 2003 and would have three children: Aurora Rose, Murphy Claire and Vaughn Evelyn. The family currently resides in Greenwich.
Stephanie’s career in the WWE actually started when she was in elementary school. She regularly appeared in merchandise catalogs by modeling in various WWE t-shirts and hats. As time went by, Stephanie worked in various capacities, such as creative design, reception and television production. She would eventually become an Account Executive for the company’s New York sales office. In 2002, she served as director of creative writing, and in 2006, she was promoted to Senior Vice President of Creative Writing. Stephanie was then promoted to executive vice president of Creative in 2007. In 2013, she became Chief Brand Officer.
Stephanie is the co-founder of Connor’s Cure, an initiative to end pediatric cancer.
In addition to her corporate and backstage responsibilities, Stephanie has been very active on-screen since 1999. On television, Stephanie has wrestled in the ring and became WWE Women’s Champion. Moreover, she served as General Manager of both Raw and SmackDown!, headed The Authority faction alongside her husband and co-GM with her brother, Shane. Stephanie has feuded with many personalities over the years, including Daniel Bryan, Brie Bella, The Rock, Chris Jericho and even Triple H.
In June, Stephanie announced that she would be penning a memoir.
