Name: Anna Chlumsky
Born: December 3, 1980
Anna Chlumsky was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 3, 1980. She is the daughter of Frank Chlumsky, Jr., a professional saxophone player and chef, and Nancy Zuncic, an actress and former stewardess. She comes from Czech descent and was raised in a Catholic household.
Raised in Melrose Park, Anna attended the Grace Lutheran Church and Walther Lutheran High School. Upon graduation from high school, Anna attended the University of Chicago, where she studied international studies.
Anna is presently married to Shaun So, an Army reserve member who served in Afghanistan. They were engaged for five months in 2007 before they wed. The couple has one child named Penelope Joan So, and they announced in April 2016 that they are expecting their second child. The family presently resides in New York City.
Anna started her career at the tender age of 10 months. Her parents had put her in modeling after one of her mother’s colleagues made the suggestion. As the years went by, Anna transitioned into film and television. She made her motion picture debut in the film “Uncle Buck.” She then starred in the 1991 and 1994 films “My Girl” and “My Girl 2,” which generated big buzz for Anna. During the 1990s, she appeared in various pictures and TV projects, such as “Trading Mom,” “Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain,” “A Child’s Wish,” “Cupid” and “Early Edition.”
Despite the success at an early age, Anna decided to take a long hiatus from show business. Anna attended university and would later work as an editorial assistant for the science-fiction-fantasy department at HarperCollins. She also served as a fact-checker for the Zagat Survey. Displeased with this work, she returned to acting and hasn’t looked back since.
After receiving formal training at the Atlantic Acting School in Manhattan, she would land a part in an episode of the hit television series “30 Rock” in 2007. Since then, she has appeared on such shows as “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “Covert Affairs,” “White Collar” and “Hannibal.” It is likely that most people will recognize Anna from the hit series “Veep,” starring alongside Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Anna has also taken her talents to the stage. In 2015, Anna appeared on the Broadway show “You Can’t Take It with You,” which is based on a 1936 play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. She also starred in “Living on Love,” appearing alongside Renee Fleming and Jerry O’Connell.
We estimate that Anna Chlumsky’s net worth is $1 million (2015).
So how much is $1 million really?
$1 million could buy several students four-year tuition at the University of Chicago. $1 million could also buy you several copies of all of the seasons to “Veep,” “Hannibal” and “Law & Order.”
