Patti Stanger was born in Short Hills, New Jersey on May 31, 1961. She is the adopted daughter of Ira and Rhoda Stanger. Her mother was a matchmaker. Growing up in Short Hills, she was raised in a Jewish household.
Patti attended Millburn High School and graduated in 1979. Upon graduation, she attended the University of Miami and completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1983.
Patti entered into a romantic relationship in 2003 with real estate executive, Andy Friedman. They became engaged in May 2009. One year later, Patti announced that she was ending her relationship with her fiancee because of a lack of passion. Soon after, Patti became involved with David Krause, a former professional baseball player and mortgage broker, but she also ended that relationship in mid-2015. Patti presently resides in Los Angeles, California.
She started her working life in fashion when she was just 24 years old. Patti was employed by the likes of Saks Fifth Avenue, JouJou Jeans and Unionbay Sportswear for a decade. Patti would then go on to work as a director of marketing for Great Expectations, a matchmaking firm, in 2000. Patti then founded her very own business, Millionaire’s Club, a private matchmaking firm for the affluent.
It was in 2008 that Patti was approached by the Bravo TV network to have her own reality show called “Millionaire Matchmaker.” Patti is both the star and producer of the reality series. The reality TV show celebrated its 100th episode in 2014. The show ended in 2015, but she would launch another series called “Million Dollar Matchmaker.”
Patt was also tapped by Premiere Radio Networks to host a four-week special for XM Satellite Radio called “P.S. I Love You.” Due to its success, it returned as a permanent show on Thursday evenings. In that same year, she published her very first book entitled “Become Your Own Matchmaker: 8 Easy Steps for Attracting Your Perfect Mate.”
Patti was able to make an appearance as herself on the hit daytime soap opera “Days of Our Lives” in 2011.
