Name: Stephen Kevin Bannon
Born: November 27, 1953
Occupation: Entrepreneur, investor, publisher and political strategist
Steve Bannon was born in Norfolk, Virginia on November 27, 1953. Raised in a working-class and Irish Catholic household, Steve is the son of a left-wing family that supported unions and John F. Kennedy.
Steve attended Virginia Tech, Georgetown University and Harvard Business School. He holds a Master’s degree in National Security Studies and an MBA degree with honors. Throughout his education, Steve served in the United States Navy and worked as a Surface Warfare Officer on the USS Paul F. Foster and a special assistant to the Chief of Naval Operations at the Pentagon.
Steve has been married three times: Cathleen Suzanne Houff, Mary Louise Piccard and Diane Clohesy. He has three children: Maureen and twin daughters. His last marriage ended in divorce in 2009. Steve was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence, battery and dissuading a witness in 1995, but the charges were later dropped when his ex-wife, Mary, did not appear in court.
He started his career in the private sector when he was given the position of investment banker at the Mergers & Acquisitions Department at Goldman Sachs. He would then launch Bannon & Co., a boutique investment bank, which was then sold to Societe Generale. As he was continuing to manage Bannon & Co. in 1993, Steve was appointed acting director of Biosphere 2, an Earth-science research project that studied space exploration, colonization, global warming and pollution.
Steve then ventured into the media by writing, directing and producing an array of motion pictures and feature documentaries, such as “Titus,” “In The Face of Evil,” “Fire from the Heartland” and “Occupy Unmasked.” While he was honing in on media projects, he came into contact with Andrew Breitbart, which led to Steve’s time at Breitbart News.
Steve became a founding member of the board of Breitbart News, a conservative news, opinion and commentary outlet. In 2012, Steve would serve as the Executive Chair of Breitbart News and transitioned the website into a “platform for the alt-right” and a big supporter of Donald Trump.
In August 2016, Steve was appointed CEO of Trump’s U.S. presidential campaign. Following his upset victory, Trump made Steve the White House chief strategist and senior counselor.
We estimate that Steve Bannon’s net worth is $10 million (2016).
So how much is $10 million really?
$10 million could pay for one percent of a standard campaign for the United States presidency. $10 million could also pay for the decorations and renovations for the Donald Trump White House.
