Sophie Monk was born in London, England on December 14, 1979. She is the daughter of Sandi Monk and Andrew Monk and has one sibling, Ben.
Soon after her birth, Sophie’s family relocated to Queensland, Australia. In her youth, she attended the MacGregor State High School, Somerset College and A.B. Paterson College. Growing up, Sophie was trained in classical opera.
Sophie has been engaged twice: Jimmy Eseberg and Benji Madden. Over the years, Sophie has been involved with an array of men, including Jude Law, Sam Worthington, Ryan Seacrest, Jason Statham and many others.
Sophie started her career working as a Marilyn Monroe impersonator at the Warner Bros. Movie World on Australia’s Gold Coast. In her free time, Sophie would concentrate on her professional music career, which started in 1999 when she replied to an ad seeking out girls with music experience. The advertisement turned out to be for a reality television series called “Popstars,” a show that aimed at creating a new girl group. After performing Monroe’s “Happy Birthday, Mr. President,” Sophie was selected as part of the group called Bardot.
Bardot turned out to be a hit as the band released several No. 1 singles, including “Poison,” “I Should’ve Never Let You Go,” “These Days” and “Love Will Find a Way.”
The group eventually split up and each of the members focused on their own solo career. Sophie worked with Warner Music Australia and released several songs, such as “Inside Outside,” “Get the Music on” and “One Breath Away.”
She would go on to an acting career and earned her very first part in the made-for-TV movie called “The Mystery of Natalie Wood.” Sophie would reprise her role as Marilyn Monroe. After several domestic roles, Sophie would land parts in American productions, including “Entourage,” “Date Movie,” “Spring Breakdown” and “The Hills Run Red.”
Known for her looks, Sophie would have a successful modeling career by appearing for such brands as Coca-Cola, Pepsi Max, Diet Vanilla Coke and LG Electronics. She also appeared in magazines like Playboy, Stuff, Ralph and Maxim.
Sophie also tried out a brief career in radio and landed a couple of hosting gigs.
It was announced in late 2015 that Sophie would be a new judge on “Australia’s Got Talent.”
Outside of the entertainment industry, Sophie is an advocate for vegetarianism and appeared in a campaign for PETA which promoted a vegetarian lifestyle.
We estimate that Sophie Monk’s net worth is $6 million (2016).
So how much is $6 million really?
$6 million can help you completely transition to a vegetarian/vegan diet and eat only the freshest and most organic foods around. $6 million can also help you produce a movie about Marilyn Monroe that could star Sophie Monk.
