Occupation: Actress, media personality and model
Raveena Tandon was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India on October 26, 1974. She is the daughter of Ravi Tandon, a producer and film director, and Veena Tandon. Raveena has one sibling, Rajeev, who worked in the Bollywood film industry for a short period of time. She also has multiple cousins who have successful careers in the nation’s movie industry.
Raveena attended Jamnabai Narsee School and then studied at Mithibai College. Due to a successful internship, Raveena decided to drop out of college and seek out a film career immediately.
In 2004, Raveena married Anil Thadani, a film distributor. They gave birth to two children, Rasha and Ranbirvardhan. She also adopted two children, Pooja and Chhaya, prior to her marriage.
Raveena would start her film career in 1991 when she debuted in the motion picture “Patthar Ke Phoo,” which was a commercial and critical success. Raveena would also earn an award for her performance. Three years later, she starred in three more movies that were also commercial and critical successes. During the period of 1995 and 1996, Raveena failed to maintain a streak of box office smash hits. However, her career did rejuvenate in 1997 when she starred in a wide array of films that did quite well in the box office. By the time the 2000s rolled around, Raveena sought out more challenging film projects, which were well received by critics and award organizations but not so much at the box office.
She left the motion picture business in 2006 in order to seek out other ventures. Raveena did make a return in 2015, but the films she starred in did not impress critics or moviegoers.
Outside of the entertainment business, Raveena is heavily involved in philanthropy. She has been an avid proponent of animal rights by joining PETA, and helped lead the Children’s Film Society of India.
We estimate that Raveena Tandon’s net worth is $6 million (2017).
So how much is $6 million really?
$6 million can pay for a large scale Bollywood motion picture. $6 million can also be used to donate money to children’s organizations across India and the rest of South Asia.
