Ryan Gosling was born on November 12, 1980 in London, Ontario Canada. He is the son of Dona Gosling, a secretary and high school teacher, and Thomas Ray Gosling, a paper mill salesman. He has one sister: Mandi. Ryan and his sister would primarily live with their mother during their youth after their parents’ divorce.
Ryan attended Gladstone Public School, Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational School and Lester B. Pearson High School. After having difficulties in school, such as behavioral problems and the inability to read, he was homeschooled by his mother. He would eventually drop out of high school at 17 in order to concentrate on his acting career.
He is currently engaged to actress Eva Mendes. They have two children together: Esmeralda Amada and Amada Lee. The family presently resides in Los Feliz, California. Ryan has been involved with numerous women over the years, including Sandra Bullock, Rachel McAdams, Blake Lively and Olivia Wilde.
Ryan’s acting career initially began in 1993 when he was just 12 years old. He attended an audition in Montreal for Disney Channel’s “Mickey Mouse Club.” He was provided with a two-year contract and relocated to Orlando, Florida. Once the show ended, Ryan went back to Canada and starred in a wide array of family entertainment television series, such as “Are You Afraid of the Dark?”, “Goosebumps” and “Breaker High.”
Ryan would start to transition into motion pictures. Despite some difficult times at first, the transition would become an ultimate success.
