Name: Eugenie Bouchard
Born: February 25, 1994
Occupation: Athlete and model
Eugenie Bouchard was born in Montreal, Quebec on February 25, 1994. She is the daughter of Michael Bouchard, an investment banker, and Julie Leclair. She has three siblings: Beatrice, Charlotte and William.
Eugenie began playing tennis at five years of age. After multiple years of training, Eugenie relocated to Florida with her mother in order to be coached by Nick Savanio. To support her tennis career, her father and two other partners established a limited partnership called Tennis Mania in exchange for 10 percent of her future earnings as a professional. This was dismissed in court because it was founded when she was just nine years old.
It was rumored in 2013 that Eugenie was dating hockey player Alex Galchenyuk. Also, she may be in a serious relationship with someone she met on Twitter. After losing a Super Bowl bet on the social media outlet, Eugenie fulfilled her obligations and went out on a date with the man. Reportedly, it went well and there will be more dates to come.
Her professional career started in 2005 when she started to participate in tennis tournaments all over the world, including France, Costa Rica, Italy and Canada. She would win numerous tournaments in her teen years or finish close to the end.
In 2011, Eugenie participated in the Australian Open’s singles junior event and lost in the semifinals. A year later, Eugenie won the singles title at the junior Wimbledon. In 2013, she would gain significant momentum by knocking off some of the top-seeds players, including Maria Sharapova. In 2014, she would win her first single women’s championship, make a Grand Slam final appearance and finish in the top five of many events. By the end of 2014, she was named WTA’s Most Improved Player.
Unfortunately, 2015 and 2016 turned out to be her worst years in professional tennis. Eugenie would suffer a losing streak, endure a concussion and undergo a lawsuit.
Despite the lack of success, Eugenie has become a marketing commodity. Over the last couple of years, she has entered into endorsement deals with Coca-Cola, Nike, Rogers Communications and Aviva Canada. She also posed for a Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover in early 2017.
Some other tidbits: her favorite tennis player is Roger Federer, her favorite television series is “The Big Bang Theory” and she is fluent in English and French.
We estimate that Eugenie Bouchard’s net worth is $3.4 million (2017).
So how much is $3.4 million really?
$3.4 million can help you construct a tennis court in your backyard (if you have the space). $3.4 million can also help you train and compete for all of the tennis tournaments across the globe.
