Shanna Moakler was born in Providence, Rhode Island on March 28, 1975. She is the daughter of Gail Moakler and John W. Moakler III, a dentist. Shanna has three siblings: John W. IV, Michelle and Kirk.
Shanna attended Barrington High School and would not pursue any post-secondary studies as she immediately pursued a modeling career in Miami, New York City and Los Angeles.
Over the years, Shanna has been involved with many male celebrities. She was previously engaged to boxer Oscar De La Hoya and had one child together, Atlanta Cecillia, but the relationship abruptly ended when she accused him of seeing other women. Shanna was married to musician Travis Barker and had two children together: Landon Asher and Alabama Luella. They eventually divorced but would have an on-again-off-again relationship in the years since. She has also been in relationships with Dennis Quaid, Gerard Butler and Billy Idol.
Shanna started her modeling career when she was just 15 years of age. Her dedication to the craft helped her represent Rhode Island in the Miss Teen USA pageant in 1992 and finished seventh overall. In 1993, Shanna was victorious in the Miss Teen All American title. Years later, she appeared for Cosmopolitan, Brentwood and Playboy – in 2001 she was named Playmate of the Month.
Shanna would eventually make the transition to film and television and has appeared in a wide array of projects. Some of the TV shows consist of “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” “Due South,” “Timecop,” “Pacific Blue” and “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.” When it comes to film, she appeared in “Poison Ivy: The New Seduction,” “The Wedding Singer,” “Love Stinks” and “Big Momma’s House 2.”
Shanna is set to return to reality television alongside a 17-year-old model. She is also serving as the Director of the Nevada Miss USA pageant
