Yolanda Hadid was born in Papendrecht, Netherlands on January 11, 1964. She is the daughter of Ans van den Herik, and her father died in a car accident when she was just seven years old. Yolanda has one sibling: Leo.

In 1994, Yolanda married affluent real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, but the couple divorced in 2000. They had three children together: Jelena, Bella and Anwar. In 2011, she would marry producer, musician and composer David Foster, but they divorced in 2015.

Yolanda’s career began when she was discovered by Eileen Ford and signed to a contract with Ford Models. For 15 years, Yolanda would model all over the world, including in Paris, Cape Town, New York and Sydney, for a wide variety of brands and magazines. Yolanda retired from the modeling business in 1994 when she moved to Los Angeles to start a family.

Yolanda would join the cast of the hit reality television series “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Yolanda left the show in 2016. It was reported that Yolanda would be getting her new reality TV show on Lifetime, which would also feature her children, Bella and Gigi (2017).

In 2012, Yolanda made media headlines all over the world when she announced that she was diagnosed with Lyme disease, mentioning the ordeal several times on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Yolanda will be publishing a book in 2017 entitled “Believe Me: My Battle with the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease,” in which she reveals that she had the inability to eat, read and write.
