Tomi Lahren was born in Rapid City, South Dakota on August 11, 1992. She was born in a military family – her grandfather was a World War II paratrooper, her uncle served in the Vietnam War and her cousins are serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. She is of German and Norwegian descent.
Tomi attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she graduated with a journalism, media, and political science degree. During her post-secondary studies, Tomi also associate produced and hosted “The Scramble” for the school’s television program.
Since February 2015, Tomi has been in a committed relationship with United States military officer Jerad Christian. Tomi presently resides in Dallas, Texas.
Prior to going to college, Tomi served as an intern for South Dakota Republican Congresswoman Kristi Noem. After she finished her post-secondary education, Tomi relocated to San Diego, California in order to find a career in political commentary.
In 2014, she applied to One America News Network (OAN). During the interview, she was offered to host her own conservative talk show, which debuted in August of that year called “On Point with Tomi Lahren.” One year later, Tomi confirmed that she was leaving the network in order to move to Texas. In November 2015, Tomi launched a new show with TheBlaze, which became popular on social media because of her three-minute, fast-talking rants. Despite the show’s success, she was let go from the network in March 2016 following her pro-abortion comments on “The View.”
She has sparked numerous controversies since arriving on the media scene, such as comparing Black Lives Matter to the Ku Klux Klan, calling NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick a racist, suggesting that Beyonce should cease with anti-white rhetoric and chastizing modern day feminists.
