Upon graduation, Bill went to Marist College, where he majored in history, played football and wrote for the school’s newspaper. He also went abroad for his junior year to study at Queen Marry College at the University of London. In 1973, Bill garnered a master of arts degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University.
In 1996, Bill married Maureen E. McPhilmy, a public relations executive, but they divorced in 2010. They have two children: Madeline and Spencer. A year after his divorce, he entered into a relationship with Lynne Kulakowski. Bill presently lives in New York City.
Bill taught English and history at Monsignor Pace High School for two years before returning to college. As he was earning his masters, he worked as a reporter and columnist for a wide array of local newspaper and alternative weekly newspapers. He also had an internship at WBZ-TV.
His broadcasting career started in Pittsburgh, Dallas, Denver, Boston and Hartford, where he was anchoring and reporting. In 1980, he returned to New York, where he anchored at WCBS-TV and was subsequently promoted to CBS News, covering wars in South America. He eventually quit and headed over to ABC News.

In 1996, Bill would become a permanent fixture at the new Fox News Channel with “The O’Reilly Factor.” The program, which aired primetime at 8 p.m., would eventually become one of the biggest news programs in all of television. That is until the show’s cancellation in 2017 amid sexual harassment allegations. Tucker Carlson would take over his spot.
Outside of cable news, Bill would host a radio program called “The Radio Factor,” which had been syndicated on more than 400 radio stations and was listened to by more than three million consumers. He also hosts a podcast called “No Spin News.”

In addition to the various sexual harassment claims, Bill has faced other controversies in his career, such as distorting facts, using misleading statistics and bullying an array of guests, including former Texas Republican Congressman and three-time presidential candidate Ron Paul.
We estimate that Bill O’Reilly’s net worth is $85 million (2017).
So how much is $85 million really?
$85 million represents about one-quarter of the severance he received in April 2017. $85 million can also pay for several immense properties in the heart of New York City.
