Chelsea Clinton was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on February 27, 1980. She is the daughter of Bill Clinton, former United States President and Arkansas Democratic Governor, and Hillary Clinton, former United States Secretary of State and two-time presidential candidate.
Chelsea attended Forest Park Elementary School, Booker Arts and Science Magnet Elementary School and Horace Mann Junior High School. In 1997, Chelsea enrolled in Stanford University and studied history – she graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree. Chelsea would later obtain a master’s degree at University College of the University of Oxford. In 2010, Chelsea earned an M.P.H. degree at the Mailman School of Public Health of Columbia University, where she started to teach graduate classes.
One of her earliest relationships was with Ian Klaus, an American author. Chelsea announced in July 2010 that she had married Marc Mezvinsky, an investment banker, at a lavish wedding. The couple presently resides in New York City in a $10.5 million apartment.
Chelsea began her professional career in 2003 when she signed up with McKinsey & Company, a consulting firm based in New York City. Three years later, she was employed by Avenue Capital Group. During this time, she became Vice Chair for the Clinton Foundation. She also works on the board of the School of American Ballet.
Chelsea would act as the Assistant Vice-Provost for the Global Network University of New York University (NYU) in 2010. Throughout her tenure, she was also the co-founder of the Of Many Institute for Multifaith Leadership.
In November 2011, Chelsea was hired by NBC to serve as a special correspondent. Despite receiving a plethora of negative reviews pertaining to her work, her contract was renewed a year later, earning $600,000 per year. She left the network in August 2014.
Chelsea turned to writing in 2015, when she published “It’s Your Word: Get Informed, Get Inspired and Get Going!”
The former First Daughter has been plastered all over the media since her mother’s surprising defeat. Many are speculating that she may attempt to seek out the Democratic presidential nomination 2020. She has been highly critical of U.S. President Donald Trump on Twitter.
