Name: Andrew McLean Galloway IV
Born: June 6, 1985
Occupation: Professional wrestler
Drew McIntyre was born in Ayr, Scotland on June 6, 1985. He is the son of Andrew Galloway, Sr. and Angela Anne Galloway, who passed away in November 2012 at the age of 51.
Drew studied at Prestwick Academy and would later earn a degree in criminology at Glasgow Caledonian University. During his academic career, he was active in the world of football as well as professional wrestling.
In May 2010, Drew married Taryn Terrell, a World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) personality. They announced their divorce a year later. In December 2016, Drew married his long-time girlfriend, Kaitlyn Frohnapfel.
Drew began his pro-wrestling career at the tender age of 15, when he trained at the Frontier Wrestling Alliance (FWA) Academy in England. He was trained by Justin Richards, Mark Sloan and James Tighe – Drew also attributes Paul Burchill and Doug Williams for helping him out.
He made his in-ring debut in 2003 for British Championship Wrestling (BCW). Drew would compete for the promotion for four years. He would also perform for Irish Whip Wrestling, International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom, All Star Wrestling, NWA: Scottish Wrestling Alliance, Premier British Wrestling and Insane Championship Wrestling.
It was in 2006 when Drew got his big opportunity with WWE. He transitioned regularly between its developmental system – Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) and Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) – and the main roster. In 2009, Drew re-debuted and was given The Chosen One gimmick on the SmackDown brand. After initial success, including winning the Intercontinental Championship, he started to flounder on the main roster. By 2012, he, alongside Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater, became comedy acts as they formed 3MB.
WWE announced in June 2014 that Drew was released from his contract.
Drew returned to the independent scene and found instant success. Drew eventually became a major attraction for a wide array of promotions, such as ICW, Evolve, Impact Wrestling, What Culture Pro Wrestling (WCPW) and Pro Wrestling Guerilla (PWG).
In April 2017, it was confirmed that WWE re-signed Drew for its NXT developmental territory.
We estimate that Drew Galloway’s net worth is $550,000 (2015).
So how much is $550,000 really?
$550,000 can be seed money to help establish your own professional wrestling school or promotion. $550,000 can also cover the cost of front-row seats for every Monday Night Raw, SmackDown Live, NXT special and pay-per-view for a long period of time.
