Not too much is known about Mike’s dating history, but he was previously in a relationship with actress Danielle Burgio. He presently resides in San Francisco, California.
Prior to making it big in television, Mike was a singer at the Baltimore Opera, which was a gig he initially wanted just because he could get his union card and meet women. He was successful in this field, particularly because of his experience as a saloon singer.
At the start of his TV career, Mike hosted a wide array of series and programs, including PBS’s “New York Expeditions,” WJZ-TV “Your New Home,” TBS’s “Worst Case Scenarios,” CNN’s “Somebody’s Gotta Do It” and Discovery Channel’s “How Booze Built America. Thanks to his deep and gravelly voice, Mike earned various narration jobs, primarily for Discovery. He also hosts a podcast called “The Way I Heard It with Mike Rowe.”
Over the years, Mike has become the pitchman for several brands and businesses, like Caterpillar, Viva paper towels, Ford, Novartis and many more.
For the past decade, Mike has been a regular trade activist, making multiple appearances in the mainstream discussing how the trades are an important industry and how businesses shouldn’t be vilified. He has spent his time launching organizations like mikeroweWORKS.com and Profoundly Disconnected or partnering with groups like the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. He has also testified in front of the U.S. Senate.
Mike declares himself to be independent of politics because he feels the present U.S. political landscape has abandoned him.
We estimate that Mike Rowe’s net worth is $45 million (2017).
So how much is $45 million really?
$45 million can help you establish your own opera group. $45 million can also start a trades college to help students learn a skill.
