Bryce Harper was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 16, 1992. He is the son of Ron Harper, an iron worker, and Sheri Harper. He has two siblings: Bryan, who is also a professional baseball player, and Brittany Harper-Peterson.
Bryce attended Las Vegas High School, and he garnered his General Educational Development (GED) diploma in his sophomore. At just 17 years of age, Bryce enrolled in the College of Southern Nevada of the Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). He would be one of the biggest stars in amateur baseball.
He has been married to his long-time girlfriend Kayla Varner since December 2016. They presently reside in Henderson, Nevada.
Bryce was the No. 1 overall draft pick and was selected by the Washington Nationals. He was sent to the minor league system and batted over .300. Bryce was called up to the main roster in 2012 and would win the National League Rookie of the Year award. He built on that success in the succeeding years, despite suffering a couple of injuries. In 2015, Bryce won the National League MVP award and was voted to the 2017 All-Star Game.
