Sheamus was born in Dublin, Ireland on January 28, 1978. He is the son of Martin Farrelly.

Raised in the city, Sheamus studied at Scoil Caoimhin Primary and Colaiste Mhuire Secondary School. He also enrolled at the National College of Ireland, earning a National Diploma and receiving sports accolades for his play in Gaelic Football.

Prior to training in professional wrestling, Sheamus worked as a bodyguard, sometimes guarding the likes of U2 and Denise van Outen. It was in 2002 when he signed up for Larry Sharpe’s Monster Factory wrestling school. He would debut just six months later, but Sheamus suffered a neck injury that sidelined him for two years.

Sheamus returned to the world of wrestling at the end of 2004, honing his character as an Irish warrior. He toured the European independent wrestling circuit, competing for the likes of Irish Whip Wrestling (IWW), the Frontier Wrestling Alliance (FWA), All Star Wrestling and Real Quality Wrestling (RQW). It was in 2006 when he got his first big break by receiving a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

In October 2006, Sheamus debuted in WWE’s developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), eventually winning the Tag Team Championships and the Florida Heavyweight Championship. He made his main roster debut in June 2009 on ECW, before transitioning to the Raw brand three months later, which allowed him to win the WWE Championship in December of that year.

Sheamus would go on to have a successful career, no matter what spot on the card he was placed. He would win the World Heavyweight Championship, the United States Championship, the Tag Team Championships, the Royal Rumble, the King of the Ring and the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Outside of wrestling, Sheamus has been seen in several motion pictures and television shows, including “The Escapist,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows” and “Royal Pains” and “Atone.”

We estimate that Sheamus’s net worth is $7 million (2017).

So how much is $7 million really?

$7 million can launch your own pro-wrestling academy and promotion. $7 million could also potentially sign CM Punk to a one-match deal.
