Her mother got Hilary and her sister into acting, singing and dancing at a young age. The sisters participated in local theater productions and other projects. This prompted the family to relocate to California in 1993, and both Hilary and Haylie found immediate success, hired for various television commercials.
In the early stage of Hilary’s career, she landed minor parts in a wide array of television series. Her biggest break came in 2000 when she was cast for the hit Disney show “Lizzie McGuire.” The success of the show made Hilary one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, helping the network earn more than $100 million, which prompted studios to place her in some motion pictures, like “Agent Cody Banks,” “The Perfect Man,” “Material Girls” and “Cheaper by the Dozen.”
In her career, Hilary has recorded several albums, including “Metamorphosis” and “Dignity,” and launched her own clothing line.
