Tristan Thompson was born in Toronto, Ontario on March 13, 1991. He is the son of Trevor and Andrea Thompson, and he has three siblings: Dishawn, Amari, and Daniel.
Tristan attended St. Marguerite d’Youville Secondary School. In his sophomore year, he made the decision to study at Saint Benedict’s Preparatory School in New Jersey. Once he finished high school, he enrolled at the University of Texas.
