James Curtin was born in Birmingham, England on January 30, 1983.

James first became involved in professional wrestling in 2001, when he trained under Jack Storm and Chris Gilbert at K-Star Wrestling. He then transitioned to SAS Wrestling Academy, where he honed his craft with Don Charles.

After learning the ropes, he toured the independent wrestling circuit, competing for the likes of Revolution British Wrestling, Frontier Wrestling Alliance, Ring of Honor, International Pro Wrestling (IPW), and Pro Wrestling Guerilla (PWG).

He got his biggest break when he signed with Total Nonstop Action (TNA), which is now known as Impact Wrestling. After winning the company’s British Boot Camp competition, he was sent to its developmental system, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). He then debuted on the main roster in 2013, eventually becoming a top star and X-Division Champion. James left the promotion in October 2017.

James would then sign with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), but only made his debut in January 2018 as Drake Maverick. He is currently serving as the general manager of 205 Live.

Outside of pro-wrestling, he has been on reality television, appearing on “Big Brother” in August 2006. He also portrayed a clown in the short motion picture called “Light the Lights.”

We estimate that Drake Maverick’s net worth is $300,000 (2018).

So how much is $300,000 really?

$300,000 can pay for about half the cost of producing a WWE Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live episode. $300,000 can also cover the pyro the company spends at special events.
