Name: Matthew Brett Cardona
Born: May 14, 1985
Occupation: Professional wrestler
Zack Ryder was born on May 14, 1985 in Marrick, New York.
He was previously in a relationship with Tenille Dashwood, who is better known as Emma in WWE. Zack is currently dating NXT star Laurel van Ness. Zack presently resides in Orlando, Florida.
Zack first became involved in professional wrestling in the early-2000s, when he trained under Mike Whipwreck. Like other pro-wrestlers, he toured the independent circuit, but primarily in the New York area, where he performed for the New York Wrestling Connection (NYWC) in 2004.
In 2005, Zack signed a developmental deal with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and was sent to Deep South Wrestling (DSW). He was immediately paired with Bryan Myers as a tag team. They would find tag team success, winning the DSW Tag Team Championship. The duo then moved to Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where they would win the tag team championship.
The tag team was promoted to the main roster in May 2007. They served only a month on WWE’s ECW show, until they were drafted to SmackDown! a month later. Ryder and his partner teamed up with WWE Hall of Famer Edge for a couple of years, turning heel in the process. They also won the WWE Tag Team Championship.
In 2009, Zack went solo and returned to ECW, sporting a new cocky character similar to the cast of “Jersey Shore” and spouting catchphrases like “woo woo woo” and “you know it.” Frustrated by his lack of a push, Zack took matters into his own hands and got himself over with the fans as part of the Ryder Revolution in 2011.
He launched a YouTube channel called “Z! True Long Island Story” and introduced the Internet Championship. The web series was so popular that Zack would become one of the most over stars in WWE with crowds chanting “We Want Ryder,” even as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, John Cena, The Undertaker, Triple H, and other popular superstars were in the ring. This helped him win the Intercontinental Championship and United States Championship. Despite a brief push, the WWE effectively buried the character and Zack thus returned to the lower card.
He did find some success on NXT and SmackDown Live!, teaming up with Mojo Rawley to form The Hype Bros. The team dissolved in November 2017.
We estimate that Zack Ryder’s net worth is $9.32 million (2018).
So how much is $9.32 million really?
$9.32 million can establish an independent wrestling promotion in New York. $9.32 million can also design a gold-plated wrestling championship.
