Jay Cutler was born in Santa Claus, Indiana on April 29, 1983. He is the son of Sandy and Jack Cutler and he has one sibling, Jenna.
Jay studied at Heritage Hills High School, where he was a major football superstar. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in Vanderbilt University, where he quickly became one of the most successful quarterbacks in the college’s history, establishing multiple school career records. In 2005, he earned his bachelor’s degree in human and organizational development.
Despite a rocky start to their relationship, Jay married Kristin Cavallari, a reality television star, in June 2017. They have two children, Jaxon Wyatt and Saylor James.
In the 2006 NFL Draft, Jay was selected 11th in the first round by the Denver Broncos. He played three seasons for the team, but was traded to the Chicago Bears, which gave him a two-year contract extension worth $30 million. He played eight seasons for the team and announced his retirement from professional football in May 2017 and took his talents to the commentator’s booth for FOX Sports. However, the Miami Dolphins reached out to Jay a couple of months later and signed him to a one-year, $10 million contract.
