In 1994, Matt would receive the biggest break of his life by landing one of the featured characters of the smash hit TV sitcom “Friends.” He appeared on the show for all 10 seasons. The popularity of his character led to a spin-off called “Joey,” which was shortly canned.
Matt aimed to shift his attention to motion pictures, getting roles in “Ed,” “Lost in Space,” “Charlie’s Angels,” and “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.”
Between 2006 and 2011, Matt announced that he was taking a break from acting on television. He found instant success upon his return, earning several awards for the fictionalized version of himself in the show “Episodes.” He was also tapped to host “Top Gear,” but he quit the popular series after one year. He is currently the star of the hit CBS series “Man with a Plan.”
