Dave Rubin was born in New York City, New York on June 26, 1976.

Dave studied at Syosset High School and enrolled in Binghamton University, earning a bachelor’s degree in political science in 1998.

He has been married since August 2015 to producer David Janet. The couple currently resides in Southern California.

Following university, Dave launched a comedy career, performing stand-up comedy in New York City. A year later, he was noticed and was hired as an intern at “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.” He still continued his comedy career and would venture into entrepreneurship by co-founding several comedy clubs

Dave branched off into media, hosting two podcasts, “The Ben and Dave Show” and “Hot Gay Comics.” They became so popular that they were made into television shows. Due to its success, Dave helped form another podcast called “The Six Pack,” which climbed to the top of iTunes and was picked up by Sirius XM Radio.

Dave was hired by The Young Turks Network to host “The Rubin Report,” a politics and current events talk show. After a contentious relationship with Cenk Uygur and disappointment with the way the network was heading, Dave left the company and produced “The Rubin Report” by himself. It has quickly become one of the most popular shows on YouTube, interviewing the likes of Ben Shapiro, Jordan Peterson, Steven Crowder, Lindsey Shepherd, Roseanne Barr, and a diverse array of individuals.

His hosting style has also been noticed by a wide range of media companies that have hired Dave to do interviews with compelling guests. Despite being a classical liberal, he has worked with many conservatives and libertarians since leaving The Young Turks.
