Tiffany Haddish was born on December 3, 1979 in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of Leola, a small business owner, and Tsihaye Red Haddish, a refugee from Eritrea. She has four half-siblings.
Tiffany attended George Ellery Hale Middle School, and then graduated from El Camino Real High School. She received awards and acclaim for her participation in drama, particularly in William Shakespeare plays. Tiffany also studied at the Laugh Factory Comedy Camp, where she was mentored by prominent comedians, including Dane Cook, the Wayans Brothers and Richard Pryor.
She was married to William Stewart, but the couple divorced in 2013.
One of Tiffany’s first jobs was that of a customer service clerk for Alaska Airlines.
Tiffany, who lived in her automobile from time to time before making it big, received her first break when she garnered a spot on “Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes,” a comedy competition. This led to a successful comedy career that then led to numerous appearances in motion pictures and television shows.
In addition to making guest appearances in TV series like “That’s So Raven,” “My Name is Earl,” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” Tiffany co-starred in the comedy film “Keanu” and earned a regular role in “The Carmichael Show.” But many consider her appearance in “Girls Trip” as the film that made Tiffany a breakout star in the entertainment industry.
Since then, she hosted a comedy special for Showtime, hosted “Saturday Night Live,” stars in “The Last O.G.,” and appeared in several commercially successful movies. In 2018, it was announced that she signed a first-look deal with HBO, as well as a separate deal with Netflix to star in an animated series
She recently made headlines for telling her followers on Instagram that she will wear fur daily until the police “stop killing black people”:
“I’mma wear it as much as possible because I don’t know if you guys know this about me, but I’m about to start protesting. I’mma wear fur every day until they stop killing black people. When the police stop killing black people, I’ll stop wearing fur. It’s my new protest.
So sorry, PETA! Don’t be mad at me. Be mad at the police. When they stop killing black people, I’ll stop wearing fur. See how that go? Because people are important, and so are the animals.”
She was also booed off of stage during a New Year’s Eve celebration in Miami. She has since apologized for her appearance, but comedians are coming to her defense.
Outside of the entertainment industry, Tiffany has published a book, titled “The Last Black Unicorn.”
We estimate that Tiffany Haddish’s net worth is $4 million (2018).
So how much is $4 million really?
$4 million can launch your own comedy club in the heart of Miami. $4 million can also purchase dozens of fur coats.
