Abby Huntsman was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 1, 1986. She is the daughter of Jon Huntsman Jr., the U.S. Ambassador to Russia and 2012 presidential candidate, and Mary Kaye Huntsman, an activist and philanthropist. She has five siblings: Jon, William, Elizabeth, Gracie Mei, and Mary Anne.
Abby studied at the University of Pennsylvania and earned a degree in philosophy, politics, and economics (PPE).
Abby married Jeffrey Bruce Livingston, her college boyfriend. In November 2017, she gave birth to their first child, Isabel. It was reported in January 2019 that she would be having twins.
