Name: Jason Jordan Segel
Born: 18 January 1980
Occupation: Actor, Screenwriter, Composer, Puppeteer, Musician
Jason Segel was born in Los Angeles, California to Jillian who was a homemaker and Alvin, a successful lawyer. He has one older half brother. His mother was Christian and his father Jewish and although being raised Jewish he attended a Christian school. He was interested in puppets growing up, which would go on to help in his acting career later in life. He became interested in acting in high school and was spotted by a agent during a production.
His first big role was as Nick on the television show Freaks and Geeks which is where he became professionally linked to Judd Apatow (who’s married to Leslie Mann). Although the show wasn’t a success, it got a cult following and later went on to sell many DVDs of the shows only season. His next big break was landing a lead on the television show How I Met Your Mother. During this time he also wrote and starred in the film Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
Other big hits he has starred in include I Love You, Man with Paul Rudd, Gulliver’s Travels, Despicable Me, Bad Teacher, The Muppets, and The Five-Year Engagement. Although he’s still young, he has a pretty respectable resume which leads us to believe his net worth is right around $20 million dollars (GBP 12,500,000).
So how much is $20 million dollars really?
Let’s face it, although Jason didn’t seem too uncomfortable in his nude scene in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, the rest of us think he may want to put some clothes on. Please. As a matter of fact, with $20 million in the bank he could look pretty great we think. With that money he could buy 9,000 Armani suits and never have to go without clothes again.
But Jason seems like more of a laid back kinda guy, so maybe he would prefer some regular Levi’s 501 jeans and a basic t-shirt. He could have 266,670 outfits which would last him over 730 years. No one would ever have to see him naked again.
If you’re feeling a bit jealous of his fortune though, just remember this – even Jason could only buy 13 of the world’s most expensive men’s watches, the Tour de L’Ile by Vacheron Constantin. But at $1.5 million dollars a piece, he would definitely still be in style. People may be so impressed with his watch that he could be naked and no one would even notice.
