Name: Joseph Leonard Gordon-Levitt
Born: 17 February 1981
Occupation: Actor, Director
Joseph Gordon-Levitt was born to Jane Gordon, a U.S. Congress nominee, and Dennis Levitt, a news director for KPFK-FM. His family has a history in show business as his grandfather was a director in Hollywood, working with actors such as Rock Hudson and Doris Day.
Joseph began his career at a young age, getting his first part as the scarecrow in a musical theatre production of The Wizard of Oz. Commercials soon began to follow and by the age of six he was working in made for television movies. At the age of 15 he got his first big recurring role on the popular sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun starring alongside John Lithgow, Jane Curtin, and Kristen Johnston.
He also acted in films such as Beethoven, A River Runs Through It, Angels in the Outfield, and 10 Things I Hate About You. After taking a part time hiatus to attend Columbia University, he returned to acting full time. He has been in countless movies, but some of the more popular ones have been (500) Days of Summer (co-starring Zooey Deschanel), G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Inception (with Tom Hardy), The Dark Knight Rises (with Morgan Freeman), and the recent Looper, which although a sleeper at the box office, received critical acclaim.
In 2005 Gordon-Levitt started his own online production company, using the work of people around the globe to work on various projects, using a variety of mediums. From his broad range of work from the young age of four, to his relatively new production company, we estimate Joseph Gordon-Levitt to have a net worth of $25,000,000 (GBP 15,500,000).
So how much is $25 million dollars really?
Gordon-Levitt is, and always has been, a busy guy. While he’s sitting watching videos for his production company he could be a lot more comfortable in the new Smart chair by Inno-Motion. He can comfortably sit for hours, but still move to keep his body and emotions stimulated. At a price tag of $8,500, he could buy 2,941 of them. That’s a lot of viewing time.
Maybe he’d rather take a nice long well deserved vacation. He could fly himself and that special someone first class to Bora Bora and stay – luxury style – for 52 long years. Talk about rest and rejuvenation.
